I panicked last night when a small piece of a tooth fell out and I could feel a hole in one of my back teeth. I had skipped my routine dental appointments for far longer than I should have and thus I wasn't connected to a general dentist, as someone with severe dental anxiety.  I went to Google searching for someone who could see me quickly.  I called last night and spoke to Dr. And because I wasn't in any pain, we decided I would come in the next day issac. Everyone in the office is incrediblyattentive and nice, and calming. I was up front with them about my pretty serious anxiety about dentists, and Dr. Issac's demeanor immediately helped put me at ease. After xrays confirmed I had a pretty deep cavity, the Dr. laid out my options and their fees clearly. I appreciated that he was transparent with me that this was not an immediate emergency, and that if I wanted to see and wait someone in my dental network (to reduce the costs) that he didn't think it would be a risk. I opted to get it filled by Dr. And wanted the process over asap, issac because I was already feeling very comfortable with him.  I barely felt the Novocain injections and I did not feel anything at all during the procedure. They seem very thorough and knowledgeable and at the same time very good at putting you at ease. I rarely write Yelp reviews, but no one is more deserving of my public praise than Dr. Isaac and Emergency Dentist. I am a Medicaid patient (teeerrrrrrrrible) and my insurance isn't accepted anywhere. After an excruciating hour of calling emergency dentists while on a road trip back to NYC, and being turned away, even hung up on after the words Medicaid left my lips, I felt terribly hopeless. When I called Emergency Dentist I was told I'd be contacted very soon by Dr. Isaac. When very soon happened, I spoke with Dr. Isaac on the phone when he immediately understood how much pain I was in (I had to keep cold water in my mouth constantly and he heard me gurgling and spiting) he gave me a calm and collected patient voice, the only one I heard all day, while in tears and in the worst pain I've ever felt in my life. Though he also does not take my insurance he was a light at the end of my tooth tunnel.  I ended up seeing him at 10: 00 pm on Friday night where he made me feel comfortable and dealt with my pain first.  I remember I was having trouble filling out paper work and he came in, told me we could take care of the rest after so we can get rid of the pain immediately. Which he did flawlessly and with great care.  I have a crippling fear of dentists and he was the first one in my life that ever actually heard me say that and did something to make me feel more at ease.  Most dentist will just give me a suspicious go and look on as they were. Not only did he make me feel way more comfortable than my regular dentist office (American Dental/Spawn of Dental Satan) he also gave me valuable advice on how to proceed.  He helped me understand my problem and gave me some options on how to deal with it. If there were a billion stars I'd give them to him.
